Stefan - Making Bread

My bread making went well except for one major flaw - my yeast did not rise. It may have been that the water used to activate it was too hot or too cold, or that I did not use sugar in the activation process. As a result, the inside was very dense and not well cooked. On the bright side however, baking in the dutch oven worked as intended, as the crust was a perfect, crunchy golden brown.

  1. Overall, I think this video was self explanatory and clear (as far as the recipe and steps). I liked how you showed the ingredients by having them face upwards before you poured them in, and the fact that you wrote out the ingredients. The titles were in a good spot, since it didn't obstruct any part of the video. I also liked how you explained the science of kneading the dough. I think that the video could have been filmed a little better, since the lighting was a little dull, and the video was not that clear (but maybe that was just a WiFi issue). I also think you should have cut open the bread at the end, and should have taken a clip of the bread rising.

  2. I think you did a really good job fitting the whole process into this short of a video. Your video looks great, but next time I might attach a light so everything is a bit clearer. As for the outcome of the bread, I know it was pretty dense but the picture you showed looked good. Maybe if you let the yeast rise a little more before baking it, the bread might end up fluffier. Overall, nice job!
